Completed 10235 Winter Village Market
What a pretty and colourful sight aye?
The 10235 Winter Village Market is the fifth Lego Seasonal (Winter Series) Set after the 10199 Winter Village Toy Shop, 10216 Winter Village Bakery, 10222 Winter Village Post Office and 10229 Winter Village Cottage. At 1261 pieces, it is smaller than the 10229 Winter Village Cottage. However, the intricate details and building of the mini carousel took up more building time as compared to the former.
At 1261 pieces, the 10235 Winter Village Market comes with 9 minifigs, a carousel (functional!) with a game's stall piece, stand alone baker's, grill and candy stalls. Mrs Little Yellow Brick's favourite stall is the baker's stall as it comes with a pretty star-shaped logo on the shop front. :)
For this entry, I've resized the pictures to a larger size in order to capture the intricate details of the Market. Image heavy entry ahead! :)

The main feature-piece of the set is the carousel and accompanying games stall where a cute teddy bear is up for grabs! To Mrs Yellow Brick, the carousel has always been a dreamy structure - the yellowish/gold toned colours, lights and mystical circular motioning horses make the combination very attractive and magical.
I don't know about you, but the sight of such pretty colours gets me excited!!

The translucent sea blue and orange studs are the carousel's lights! What creativity!
Who wants to take a ride on the carousel too?

The other features of the Winter Village Market include benches for our minifigs to chillout and have a cuppa coffee and as with all other sets - a bench and lamp post standalone.
The camera's angle makes the cup and cupcake look significantly larger than the size of the minifigs. Haha!

Wassup?

We enjoyed building the 10235 Winter Village Market as much as the other Winter Village sets. The Market is by far, the most colourful (and happy, in Mrs Little Yellow Brick's opinion) build thus far. The carousel was the most tedious build in this set (expectedly) and it took some concentration to complete it. It got me tempted to open our 10196 Grand Carousel but there's great inertia to open the set which consists of 3263 pieces!!
The 10235 Winter Village Market is a must-have for all Lego Winter Village Seasonal Series collectors. It significantly brings out the Christmas spirit in our Lego Winter Village Town. We really love how the Market looks together with our other Winter Village Sets.
As usual, stay tuned to our Lego Winter Village Town MOC 2013! We will blog about it soon! :))
Happy holidays everybody!
P.S. - As you may be able to tell by now, this entry was written by Mrs Little Yellow Brick! :P
Wow, how long did it take to build it because I'm interested in getting it.
ReplyDeleteIt took a few hours for us. The time consuming part is building the carousel but it is worth it! You can control the carousel using the dial located above the games stall. Also, we would recommend combining with other Lego Winter Village sets using base plates! (Ok, there's a bit of self-promotion here but please do check out our Lego Winter Village Town MOC!) =)
